INAUGURATION FUNCTION OF WOMEN CELL 2019

The women's cell (ISA) of NSS TRAINING COLLEGE OTTAPPALAM was inaugurated by Adv.Thara.M.S(Member Kerala state women commission) on 09th October 2019. The inaugural function was invoked with a prayer followed by the dignitaries lightning the Kuthuvilakku. women cell coordinator Dr.Seema Menon welcomed the gathering. Principal Dr. Ambili Aravind presided over the function and gave the presidential address, After the inaugural speech Staff advisor Dr. Sethu S Nath, assistant professor Dr. Devika .R, Union  Chairman Navneeth delivered felicitations and Syama.P Women cell student coordinator delivered the vote of thanks. principal Dr. Ambili Aravind honored chief guest with a memento.

Women cell 2018 - 19 conducted a talk on  Bio Psycho Social Issues  for teacher trainees in the college on 21.02.2019. The content was presented by Dr. Usha Nambisan and Smitha K K. Welcome speech was delivered by Anagha, one of the members of Women Cell and it was followed by the interactive session by guests. The main areas covered by them were personality skills, adolescent problems like depression, suicide tendencies, behavioural problems, mental health disorders, drug and substance abuse, psychological problems, social problems, sexual health problems and addiction to cyber space. They suggested some measures to overcome the problems. The class was very informative and they were able to gain the attention of the students. The way they interacted with the students was very interesting. After that there was a communal session, and moreover good feedback and support from the student teachers made the talk very useful and informative.Bhagyalakshmi delivered vote of thanks after the session
