As a precursor to the International women's day on March 8 th, the Women cell of the college conducted various programs throughout the first week of March
On March 2 nd, the cell focused on conducting sports activities for students. A badminton competition was held exclusively for women. Kavitha & Vrindha were the winners
A debate competition on the topic " is women empowerment a myth in developing countries? " was conducted on march 3rd. 1 st year M. Ed students, sujitha & shilpa were the winners.
On wednesday, march 4th,
A street play on women empowerment was presented in ottapalam town bus stand followed by a flash mob by the lady students of the college
An awareness program on cancers among women was conducted under the aegis of women cell. Ms. Praveena Prabhakar, cancer project coordinator, ottapalam welfare trust led the class. Pamphlets on cancer detection methods were also distributed.
On March 9, women cell was conducted rendering of poems on women perspective, sharing of life experiences of she students in college who have made remarkable contributions in arts/sports/ and other performing arts.
Cultural programs with focal theme on women empowerment will be conducted on the same day.

AWARENESS PROGRAM ON CANCER AMONG WOMEN
Women cell of NSS Training college in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club of the college conducted an awareness class on Cancer and its early detection. Ms. Syama, student coordinator of Women cell welcomed the gathering and Ms. Praveena of Ottapalam Welfare Trust acted as the resource person.

and judge of competition Sri Jaya Prakash sir declared Suchitha and Aiswarya of 1st M.Ed class as winners.
